It's impossible to ignore just how successful a mobile game can be in this day and age - look at the insane amount of cash Clash of Clans is raking in.
Nintendo couldn't ignore it any longer and released its first ever mobile-type game for Nintendo 3DS in Pokemon Shuffle, a free to play match-three puzzler.
This got Pocket Gamer thinking - what would Nintendo's other franchises look like if they were made for mobile?

| Dear developers: We've fixed your App Store screenshots for you
Added: 13.02.2015 17:10 | 47 views | 0 comments
Yesterday, Pocket Gamer reported that Apple is cracking down on games that show firearms in their App Store screenshots, icons, and preview videos.
Developer War Chest, for example, chose to pixelate the weapons in the screenshots for its QTE action game Tempo to skirt the Apple ban.
But Pocket Gamer has done better than that. They've carefully hidden the guns in the screenshots for five iOS shooters in such a subtle way that you won't even realise they're gone!

Here's a gassy new trailer ahead of its Spring release.
There aren't too many life problems that can't be solved with the use of gas. Debt, illness, sucked into a magic TV set - the application of *parp* gas will usually set you free, my friend. Indie devs Rock Pocket Games understand this only too well, which is why their colourful puzzle platformer Shiftlings is all about the gaseous stuff.

| Reverse platformer Spoiler Alert will run backwards on to iOS on December 16th
Added: 12.12.2014 16:44 | 55 views | 0 comments
TinyBuild's reverse platformer Spoiler Alert will be coming to iOS on December 16th. It'll also be available on Android at the start of 2015.
It's a game that starts at the end and then literally plays backwards. The challenge is to un-win the game, essentially.
The one-touch controls mean that you only need to tap the screen to instruct the red banana-shaped character when to jump.
So, it's a game that tests your proficiency in timing, above all. That said, there are boss fights and upgrades to tackle and get to grips with along the way.
Spoiler Alert will cost 69p / 99c when it arrives on the App Store next Tuesday.
Disclosure: The PR representative for TinyBuild is former Pocket Gamer writer Mike Rose.
